Pallet Train – What is the theme of the movie?

Based on the novel Maria Beetle by Kotaro Izaka, the story takes place in Japan aboard the Tohoku Shinkansen Hayate high-speed train from Tokyo to Morioka in Iwate Prefecture. On the train, five assassins discover that their jobs are interconnected. One of them is “Ladybug” (Brad Pitt) – an unlucky guy who, after a series of professional failures, hopes to successfully complete his new assignment.
