Alexander Kwasniewski in Polsat News spoke mainly about the situation in Ukraine, but also referred to the situation in Poland – he focused mainly on the problem inflationwhich he called “disease”.
Kwaśniewski expects 20 percent. inflation
The former president asserts that inflation is rising at exceptional speed, but it has been falling for a very long time. He added that it could reach a much higher level: “We have not yet reached the peak of inflation, which could reach 20%.” In his opinion, it will take years to get down from this level of inflation, and he estimates that the next levels will be “negligible”. In his opinion, this will reduce spending on social programs, as well as exacerbate the problems of borrowers.
The former president described inflation as a “disease” with which “we go into the elections” – Kwasniewski believes that rising inflation will damage the ruling coalition. “The possibility of losing apartments or houses could be a huge social problem” – in his opinion, it could be the result of an increase in interest rates.
