Bryan Danielson faced Zwerve Strickland in the main event of AEW All in 2024. In a match where Strickland defended his world title and Danielson defended his career. If Danielson loses, he will have to retire.

Danielson came to the ring with his song Final Countdown and his family watching the event. The emotion was very strong:

Swerve Strickland took advantage of Brian Danielson and made him bleed in front of his children. Strickland brought out his full arsenal of finishers, but Danielson found a second wind to counter.

Bryan Danielson surprised everyone by turning the tide of victory with a submission using his lapel lock, which forced the champion to retire. AEW ended 2024 with a big celebration for Bryan Danielson with his family and Blackpool Combat Club:

With this victory, Bryan Danielson won his first AEW World Title and could continue his career as a wrestler.

The next AEW shows will see how Danielson will fare as a wrestler as a champion.
