Adriana Swick-Schubert breaks another record! Half a year after giving birth

Just half a year after her birth, Adriana Swick-Schubert made her Olympic debut in Paris. She started competing in the heptathlon on Thursday and showed herself in really good form in the first competition. In the 100m hurdles her time of 13.32 seconds gave her sixth place. Unfortunately, her performance was a little worse later on, after a first day of four competitions she finished eighth. – Impossible does not exist in my dictionary. (…) I used 100 percent of the time given to me. I showed myself at the start. I showed that you cannot delete my name, you can only know the second part. I believe that tomorrow will be better – she assured the TVP cameras.

Another record for the Sułek-Schubert season. He’s still in the lead.

Friday’s competition began with the long jump. Sułek-Schubert was in the first group and achieved a good result on her first attempt. a result 6.09m is the season record. The Pole managed to improve this result even more. In her third jump she reached 6.22m, just four centimetres closer than the Dutch Sophie Docter who won the first heat. Solek Schubert took second place.

Meanwhile, there was competition in the second group, where the level was much higher. Up to six competitors achieved a better result than Docter, meaning that Adriana Sulik-Schubert eventually finished eighth in the long jump. The best in this competition was Colombian Martha Araujo, who set a new personal best of 6.61m, with Swiss Annick Kaelin just two centimetres behind. In third place was Belgian Nafissatou Thiam with 6.41m.

How does this affect the overall ranking? The 25-year-old Pole dropped to ninth place, overtaken by Colombian Araujo. She has 4,688 points. The heptathletes have two more events ahead of them: the javelin throw – in the morning session and the 800m in the evening.
