A Polish becomes president of DEKRA. He's the first foreigner in over 100 years

Stan Zurkevich, born in Gdynia, is the first president from outside Germany in more than a hundred years of DEKRA history. The new president managed DEKRA in Asia for many years, in 2021 he became a member of the board of directors and COO of the entire company, and only 15 months later he was appointed president of the world’s largest unlisted company in the TIC (Test Inspection Certificate) industry.

– Thanks to the Strategy 2025 program and our digital agenda, solid foundations have been laid for the company’s future growth. We will proactively deal with the further digitization of our services, and above all, we will prioritize developing our presence in the North American and Asian markets – says Zurkiewicz.

DEKRA’s value has nearly tripled since 2010. During the same period, the company’s revenue more than doubled to the current 3.5 billion euros, profits grew 130 percent and the number of employees increased from about 22,000 (end of 2009) to nearly 46,500 in year 2021.
