The Institute of Sociology of the Nicholas Copernicus University reports this to the professor. Krystyna Szafraniec has dealt with the sociology of youth, intergenerational relations and social change and was one of the most important Polish scholars on this topic. In March, her study was titled “Generations and Polish Changes. 45 Years of Research All the Time”, published by Scientific Publishers PWN.

a. Kristina Zavranik is dead. Died in a tragic accident
According to reports from the nowosci.com.pl portal, Prof. Kristina Zhavranik died in a tragic car accident on Saturday 3rd September, around 9pm near Lipnica.
Initial police findings show that a sociologist who was driving a Toyota was driving a farm tractor along a straight road. While returning to the right lane, it hit the tractor and fell into a trench on the side of the road. Toyota, which was being driven by the scientist, turned to the opposite lane and collided with a Kia passenger car in which a family of four was traveling.
The sociologist died on the spot, three people traveling with Kia were taken to the hospital, the rest of those involved in the accident are fine. All drivers were alert.
