X-Men 3 Movie: Sentinels?

Not alot is known about the X-men 3 Movie, and with Bryan Singer leaving for Superman 5 its hard to say what will come. However there is talk of Sentinels. That would most certainly add an interesting spin. Guy Dyas and James Jones designed the Sentinel for the computer animators

According to James Jones, the Sentinel would have cost close to $8million dollars. Yowzers, that is one expensive giant robot. This did not fit into the Xmen 2 movie budget which is why it did not appear. Lets hope that X-men 3 has the budget to support giant mutant killing machines. I am not sure that it quite fits the "style" of the X-men Movies but it would certainly draw my interest.

While Bryan Singer was still involved he told Total Film Magazine:

"The Sentinels are something we looked at for X2. I originally brought Guy Dyas, my production designer, on board to do Sentinel designs for me and he came up with a clever design and built a maquette of it, which actually sits in my home! But we felt, for X2, the concept of giant robots is a difficult sell. But it's definitely something we may have room for in the future."
