Tom Cruise Booted from Paramount

According to Variety Paramount has now ended its long standing relationship with Tom Cruise and his production company. They have worked together for over 14 years on many many projects.Apparently the plan for Cruise is to now form his own independant company and develop his own films. Cool idea, and with Paula Wagner his long time partner on board it should do well.
 
Paramount supposedly terminated the relationship because Tom Cruise's oddball behavious has cost them money in lost ticket sales. I will be the first to admit  Tom Cruise has done some really zany things but to me this is acting like the guy is a serial killer. Come on people get off Tom's back! I am not a fan but terminating a relationship because hes "odd" is strange. Wagner told Variety they were excited about this and she also disagreed with the assertion that Tom cost the studio money with his behaviour. All I have to say is good luck on the new venture!
