New York Times doubts The Alamo

The new york times says - "The Alamo," a big-budget feature meant to be Disney's showpiece for Christmas 2003, is turning into an unintended emblem of the embattled media company's troubles.

The end result was quite an uproar on the alamofilm fan site. One of the replies posted was

not to be insensitive, but as far as NYC goes, they can't figure out that it doesn't always have to be about them. When Gangs of New York came out, there were praises to the celing, but it didnt do diddly at the box office anywhere else, did it?

Now they're just mad because Texas has real heroes, whereas NYC just has the mafia - lol

seriously tho, it's a critics job to poo on anything good right? Let them go ahead and say what they want. It's better than them having to actually work at a real job...
