Ace Ventura 3 without Jim?

So now that actor Jim Carrey has hit the big time and has begun to move away from the zanny face-making roles that made him famous in the first place, who do you get to fill in his shoes when you want to make a sequel to these films? Well first you get Eric Christian Olsen to play a younger Lloyd Christmas in a sequel to "Dumb and Dumber", and then you get Jamie Kennedy to be the next person to pick up "The Mask". So what about some of the other classic Jim Carrey films that need basterdizing? Well there is always "Ace Ventura: Pet Detective" and it's sequel. It could always use a third installment WITHOUT Jim Carrey. Right? No...I don't think so.

 

Well that bad news is that they are actually getting some writers to work on the concept. Rumor has it Morgan Creek has Jeff Sank and Jason and Justin Heimberg working on penning a script that will center around the SON of Ventura. Oh lord...here we go again. This is our punishment because "Pirates of the Caribbean" turned out to be such a great film. There has to be a balancing act in Hollywood: for every great film there has to be a dozen or so really bad ones. So look out boys and girls, Ace Ventura JR. is on his way.
