CREDO : New Indie Horror FilmPosted by: MichaelAlto Films’ supernatural horror feature film entitled Credo is set to start production next week in London’s West End. Credo is Alto’s first feature film. Emerging director Toni Harman will work with actors Myanna Buring of The Descent and Australian heartthrob Clayton Watson, known as ‘The Kid’ from The Matrix Trilogy. Irish actor/pop-singer Stephen Gately will make his first ever appearance on the big-screen in Credo. Credo is a modern supernatural horror film that explores the dark side of the human psyche. Set in London, the film begins with a group of theological students who decide to test their faith by proving the existence of Hell. Following their ritualistic summoning of a demon, the students are all found dead, apparently by suicide. Ten years on, a group of five final-year students are evicted from their student digs and break into the now abandoned Catholic halls of residence for the weekend, only to discover that they’re not alone. The film is to be shot in High Definition using the Panasonic VariCam® HD Cinema™ Camera in an initiative to maximize production value. Digital cinematography specialists, Axis Films and Axis Post will act as a production partner with Alto Films in the provision of equipment in shooting right through to post production. Credo follows Alto’s success with a number of short films including Daddy’s Boy, winner of Best European Short Film in The Silver Méliès 2004. Alto’s past short films are distributed by a subsidiary of Universal Pictures in 40 countries.
