The Red Shoes on DVD October 24th

An old Korean riddle inquires about a monster that opens its mouth every morning to eat your foot…the answer is your shoe. The Red Shoes, a Korean take on the Hans Christian Anderson fairy tale, will step all over video shelves in stores across the nation from Tartan Asia Extreme on October 24th.

After catching her husband cheating with another woman, Sun Jae takes her young daughter and moves into a dilapidated old apartment building to start a new life. Heading home from work one day she finds a strange pair of high-heeled red shoes and decides to take them. While the shoes provide her with some comfort, they also become objects of unhealthy obsession for her ballet-dancing daughter and her best friend. Soon, everyone who comes into contact with the shoes
Desperately craves them and a curse began hundreds of years ago will once again rear its ugly head.
The Red Shoes is written and directed by Yong-gyun Kim (Wanee Wa Junah) and stars Hye-su Kim and Lee Uhl (Samaritan Girl and H). The original music is by Lee Byung-woo (Tale of Two Sisters.)  Korean, with English and Spanish subtitles, The Red Shoes is presented in anamorphic widescreen, Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Sound and DTS Surround Sound 5.1.
