Thailand Has their own Spiderman: Mercury Man!
Posted by: GoonIts been a long time since I have seen something coming out of Asia that I was really interested in. Well I saw this film Mercury Man a couple days ago and thought it looked great. Well, cheesy great anyway. It's very obvious that the hero is almost a carbon copy of Spiderman.
Here is alittle bit of the synopsis for you: Chan, a firefighter, is accidentally granted an unnatural superpower from holy objects called Leklai. Realizing both of the positive and negative side of this power, Chan tries to keep its in balance and in the mix with his own blood. At the same time, he is hunted by the mafia group who wants to take back this superpower.
The great thing about this movie looks to be the fight sequences. You may remember awhile back when I was doing heavy coverage on Ong Bak. Well this film has the same team of fight choreographers on it. So get ready for some crazy over the top action! It is opening in Thailand this weekend and hopefully it will be appearing on DVD in the states soon.
