Terrence Howard as Iron Man?

Their is a rumor going around that Terrance Howard might be in line to play Iron Man. I gotta tell yuh this is a pretty good choice. He is a great actor, doesnt look like your typical action hero and really could play Tony Stark aka Iron Man. That and its a hell of alot better then Tom Cruise. Based on the long-running Marvel comic book series, Iron Man is the story of Tony Stark, a driven inventor and executive who straps on billions of dollars in armor and weaponry each night to fight crime, terrorism and corporate espionage. It is now scheduled to come to theaters May 2nd 2008.

 

Update: Martha emailed us to let us know that in fact Terrence Howard is not playing Iron Man at all. Or in talks that is. He is actuall up for the role of James Rhodes (eventually both Iron Man -- after Stark's "death" and War Machine, but those things surely happen WAY after the timeframe of the film), Stark's Nam buddy/bff/etc, not Stark himself.
