Quentin Tarantinos Hero Movie dominates the Box Office!

Hero, the Chinese masterpiece brought in an estimated $17.8 in revenue last weekend. Hero was released in 2,031 theatres across the U.S. which is a new record for an Asian film which was orignally held by Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (2,027). So it was only 4 theatres but hey it still broke the record! It is also the largest grossing end of August film ever knocking that blockbuster movie "Bring it On" in the dust! Notice my sarcasm...

Hero also had the second largest debut of a foreign film to date right behind "Passion of the Christ". Yea I know Latin shouldn't even count but it does..
