Karen Allen Returning for Indy 4?

Actress Karen Allen attended a recent New York screening of "Raiders of the Lost Ark". After the film she was asked if she would be reprising her role of Marion Ravenwood in the upcoming 4th film. While emphasizing that she really only knew as much as anyone else about the still uncompleted script she did repeat that she heard a rumor that Lucas and Spielberg might be trying to find a place for her and actress Kate Capshaw (who plays Indy's love interest in "Temple of Doom") to tie up a few loose ends. Karen also mentioned that she had heard a rumor about Natalie Portman playing Indiana's daughter in the upcoming film. Though jokingly, she did say that it is quite possible that her character may be written in as the mother should that plot come to pass.

 

Actually I'm a little disappointed. If they had to reunite all of Indy's old flames with him for this film it's a pity that Alison Doody would not be among them. But I suppose once your character falls down a nearly bottomless crag in an ancient holy temple, you sort of have to miss-out in returning for any sequels.
