Charles Stone III on the Tekken Movie

IESB had a talk with director Charles Stone III and he had a couple of interesting things to say about the Tekken film. Right now they are working on a script and production is going to start sometime next year.

"It will not be anything like Mortal Kombat or any of the Lara Croft movies, says Stone III. "You will get the feeling of Bruce Lee's Enter The Dragon. I want the audience to get to know the characters, so when they have to battle each other it will be more dramatic."

Regarding what talent we'll see in the film, he added that "Both Jet Li and Jackie Chan have been loosely attached to the film but were now thinking of starting clean. It will have plenty of 'A' list actors."

If they get Jet Li or Jackie Chan in this film it will be great. As long as they cast some actors that know some real martial arts it will be good. I also like the comment regarding "Enter the Dragon". I would assume that means they will travel somewhere to the Tekken Tournament..
