Jon Voight talks about Ghost Rider

Jon Voight has been attached to Sonys "Ghost Rider" film for a long time now as the lead villian. IESB.net got a chance to sit down with him and ask him a few questions about the movie. He confirms that he is still attached to the project but that they are going to rewrite some of his character.

"They’ve gone back and forth with the villain," Voight said. "They had a mysterious devil figure, very powerful devil figure at one point. I think they’ve divided the character up and made him rather younger. That’s why I don't know in the final version if I will be winding up doing it."

Voight has gone ahead and made preparations, should he still fit into the final version of the script. "I’ve actually even designed a piece in preparation for it. But as I say, it may not come my way. It may go in a younger direction or different direction, so I’m flexible. We’ll see what happens. If I do, I’ll be very happy to do it."

Apparently this one is going to be more love story than chop suey. "Of course, each of them is quite distinct. This has a lot of stuff that would set it apart. There’s a lot of magical stuff to it and metaphysical stuff. But the thing that will hold it together, I think, is the love story. It’s a very beautiful love story."

Nicholas Cage has been attached to this project to play Johnny Blaze aka Ghost Rider for a long time. Whether or not he is still attached is unknown.
