Matt Damon to play Captain Kirk?
Posted by: MichaelHaha seriously... this is just gold. According to Canmag via FilmStalker Matt Damon is gonna play Captain Kirk. You thought that the rumor that Steven Spielberg would direct the Warcraft movie was funny, this one is even better. Quotting canmag:
I'm told J.J. ABRAMS is very interested in casting the Oscar-winning Damon as a young Captain Kirk in the upcoming 'Star Trek' movie that he's directing and producing. He's so interested that he's apparently already sought support from the original Kirk, WILLIAM SHATNER. "Shatner gave his blessing," my source says. "J.J. got his approval."
Matt Damon has mad talent but he is no Captain Kirk. I mean only William Shatner is the Captain and nobody can touch that. You need to get somebody way over the top to play the role right.. somebody like Paul Reubens. Yeah you heard me say that right.
