Josh Hartnett leads 30 Days of Night

Josh Hartnett (Lucky Number Slevin, Sin City) has just been added to play the lead in the upcoming Ghosthouse production feature "30 Days of Night". The idea is based on a graphic novel written by Steve Niles and illustrated by Ben Templesmith about the Alaskan town of Barrow where during the middle of winter it experiences 30 days of darkness. During this time vampiric creatures emerge to feed on the locals and it is up to a husband (Hartnett) and wife team to help the townsfolk survive the month-long night.

 

Though a female lead has not been cast, I think the movie has already gotten off to a good start with Josh Hartnett on board. He can do dark. And a vampire-filled-month-of-night is a whole lot of dark. I would also think we should expect his character to have his usual sly sense of humor throughout the entire ordeal. I expect nothing less.
