Paul Reubens playing Joker in Batman Begins Sequel?

Ah yes, nothing like an idiotic casting rumor. G4 Tech TV posted up that Paul Reubens was going to be playing the joker in the upcoming Batman Begins. Now I should probly say I have made no effort to confirm or deny this rumor. I seriously doubt that anyone wants Pee Wee Herman to play The Joker in the upcoming Batman Begins sequel when so many very talented people are ready to jump all over the role.

 

If you dont watch G4 Tech TV, its a computer tech show that used to be really cool and have a great cast of characters until they decided they were MTV and dropped all the great hosts for hot women.

 

Update: Shawn Here. It's quite possible that G4 may have jumped the gun a bit. There is always the chance that Paul Reubens was being considered for the role, but it seems more likely they got him mixed up with someone else. There are a lot of Pauls out there. According to IMDB dramatic actor Paul Bettany is "in talks" to take on the role. Though actually this has been common knowledge for some time now.  Folks may remember him as the villain in "Firewall". Not a great movie, but hey, I did like  Bettany. Let's cross our fingers. 

 

Edit: The guys at IMDB or Warner Bros are pretty quick with the response time. Only a day after pointing it out, Bettany has been removed from the list. Either this means the "talks" didn't go as according as planned, or they don't want to ruin the surprise.

 

Little bit of Trivia for you: Paul Reubens already HAS been in a Batman film. He played Penguin's papa in Batman Returns.
