Tim Burton Movie Swap?

So The Movie Insider has reported that Paramount Studios is doing a little bit of rearranging of their production schedule. "Believe it Or Not" (based on the adventures of collector Robert Ripley), which is to be directed by Tim Burton, is being put back into developement hell so that the studio can put the film adaption of "Sweeney Todd" ahead of it. Tim Burton is also set to direct.

 

"Sweeney Todd" is based on the hit broadway musical about a barber serial killer who slashes the throat of his customers and uses them to make meat pies. Actually it's kind of hard to believe that Tim Burton didn't get to this one any sooner. To no one's suprise Burton is in talks with good friend Johnny Depp, star of many of Burton's past films, to play the lead role. This too also screams "perfect matchup" in my mind. Luckily for us Johnny Depp has already proven to be a decent singer. Though who am I kidding? Even if he wasn't he'd still manage to pull it off.
