24 The Movie - Deal Inked?

Word on the street, or more specifically at Variety is that Kiefer Sutherlands "24" movie is starting to really move ahead. You will recall that Jerrica one of our writers did a fantastic piece on this topic last month ( Can Kiefer Sutherland Bring 24 To The Big Screen? ) and it seems that its going to start moving ahead.
 
The word from Variety is that Robert Cochran and Joel Surnow have closed a deal to bring the tv show to the big screen. Dont hold your breath on when we might see it. Movie production time can be as long as 3 years, so "24" might well be cancelled by the time we see the film on the big screen.
