Trade - The First Movie Photo

We just received the first image for "Trade". Lionsgate Films will bring this crime drama to cinemas October 13th. Formerly known as "Welcome to America" the script was written by Academy Award® nominee Jose Rivera ("The Motorcycle Diaries"), based on "The Girls Next Door", a New York Times Magazine exposé by journalist-screenwriter-novelist Peter Landesman. The film is produced by Roland Emmerich and Rosilyn Heller. Starring in this movie are Kevin Kline, Cesar Ramos and Paulina Gaitan. Despite earlier news, Milla Jovovich does not appear in this movie. Her character is now played by  Alicja Bachleda.

 

 

Trapped in the nightmare world of sexual slavery, a frightened 13 –year-old girl (Paulina Gaitan) is befriended by a young Polish woman (Alicja Bachleda), who was tricked into leaving her country and forced into prostitution in Mexico. A Texas cop (Kevin Kline) joins a Mexico City teenager (Cesar Ramos) on a desperate quest to find the boy’s sister. As these four people forge friendships in the darkest of circumstances, "Trade"emerges as an emotional tale of survival in the wake of tragedy and loss of faith.
