Kung Fu TV Series becoming a Movie

The folks behind the new Frank Miller flick "300", "Batman Begins" and "Superman Returns" are taking a big risk on a brand new movie. They are going to be adapting "Kung Fu" the TV show into a feature film. You know that classic show, where a white guy pretends hes an asian martial arts expert? Right? The one that Bruce Lee was passed over for, because he was, well, not white.
 
Seriously though I watched "Kung Fu" growing up and it was a great show, should be interesting to see how Legendary Pictures adapts this film. I would normally write this off as a disaster in the making if it were not for who was making it. These guys have built a reputation on making great films.
