Stars Sign on for The Ten

"The Ten" is a comedy spoof about the Ten Commandments, and it's officially got financing from City Light Pictures and MEGA Films. On Comedy Central, David Wain has had a part on "Reno 911!," done voices for "Crank Yankers," and appeared as a correspondent on "The Daily Show"), and now he will be directing this and what appears to be a decent sampler of actors from various walks of celebrity.

The movie begins shooting come July in New York with Jessica Alba ("Fantastic Four" and "Sin City"), Paul Rudd ("Clueless" and "Anchorman"), Amanda Peet ("Saving Silverman" and "Identity"), Justin Theroux ("Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle" and "American Psycho"), and Adam Brody ("Mr. & Mrs. Smith" and the FOX TV series "The O.C.").

Wain wrote the script along with Ken Marino, who also stars. Marino has also appeared on "Reno 911!" as well as a long list of other shows like "Angel," "Las Vegas," "Monk," "NYPD Blue," "Veronica Mars," and "Grey's Anatomy" to name just a few. It'll be interesting to see what comes of this as these two guys attempt to break onto the movie scene with some on-screen talent that's likely to gather some notice.
