Russell Crowe Kicked off Epic?

Their is a rumor circulating the internet that Russell Crowe has been replaced in Baz Luhrmann's latest epic film in favor of the talented Heath Ledger. The rumor started at the New York Post. The movie was supposed to star Nicole Kidman and Russell Crowe but according to the New York Post Heath is now in line. This new film is a war drama set in the 1940's about the bombing of the Darwin.
 
The word is that Russell Crowe wanted script approval and so they replaced him. Nobody has confirmed this that we know of so take it with a grain of salt.
