Will Bryan Singer Drop Logan's Run?

Posted by: Shawn
With "Superman Returns" about to hit theaters, director Bryan Singer is trying to decide what his next project will be. He's had two on his slate for a while now; first would be the highly anticipated and big-budget "Logan's Run" remake, and the other being a smaller film called "The Mayor of Castro Street".

Also giving him something to think about before he makes his decision is that the Warner Bros execs will likely be giving him the go ahead on the next Superman movie should "Returns" make a big show at the box-office. It's also possible that should he commit to "Logan's Run" that it will be part of his contract to work on the Superman sequel right afterwards. Two big-budget movies in a row might be a bit much for Singer, who may in the end decide to direct "The Mayor of Castro Street" and let "V for Vendetta" director James McTeague have "Logan's Run".

No decision has been made by Singer at this time. While I'm sure "Logan's Run" will be a fun movie, I think that if "Superman Returns" makes the grade I would like to see him return as director for that. And if he has to drop "Logan's Run" to make it happen, so be it.
