Indiana Jones is About the Script.

In an interview with MTV, George Lucas discussed his plans for the upcoming "Indiana Jones" project that he will be working on with director Steven Spielberg and actor Harrison Ford. He claims the project will be more about the script and the writing, rather than using action sequences to be the core of the movie.
"I think Tom Cruise proved that people are getting bored with that kind of stuff," said Lucas . "What they want to see is something different. And Indiana Jones, if nothing else, is always different. I think it'll be a great film, but it's completely different. It's still got a lot of action, and it's still very funny. I think it works like crazy."
I honestly believe that what people want to see is Harrison Ford dawning the fedora again. The script could be complete trash and people will still break box-office records to see it. Plus I think Lucas isn't seeing the big picture when it comes to his reference to Tom Cruise. From what I have read "Mission: Impossible III" was a very well written and reviewed film, yet it still didn't bring in the audiences. I also find it ironic that he is claiming this project will be about the scripts rather than the action. He should have started that way of thinking 7 years ago with "The Phantom Menace".
Plus if Indiana Jones sits around and has long drawn-out conversations with Nazis instead of kicking some ass, I'm going to be disappointed.
