Oh, God! Its Ellen DeGeneres!
Posted by:We got another remake in the wings folks and this one looks to be another stinker. This time "Oh, God!" will get the facelift with Ellen DeGeneres playing George Burns role of God. Jerry Weintraub is the producer behind this and he seems to like DeGeneres.
"Ellen is a strong comedienne and she has always done material about God and questions about God," said Weintraub. "She will help us with the writing, and using her will allow us to do a proper 2005 view of 'Oh God!' that is hip and modern."
I'm not a fan of her myself and I thought the orginal with George Burns was great. I don't see why this movie needs to be remade but I guess this confirms that producers nowadays are just getting lazy.
