Exclusive : Broken Visual FX Test ShootPosted by: MichaelBROKEN is one of those movies that when I saw it I had a moment of WOW.The movie has its downfalls, some bad acting and far to short to really draw you in, but the kicker is, its indie, and its made for $8k. You look at it and you think the budget is $80k or better. Some people thought we were idiots for liking this movie but we felt much better when Roger Ebert praised the film ( Roger Ebert on Broken ). Yeah for real. Then to top it off these guys started working on a feature film, which we really cant say much about other then its gonna kick all our asses with its coolness. BROKEN is the best looking visual fx in an indie film I have ever seen. Their short film dvd is nicer then 80% of the big budget titles. They showed that indie doesnt have to mean shitty.
Anyrate being that we are such huge fans and that they are now working on a big FEATURE film they wanted to share with us their very first visual FX test. Unlike other big blockbuster films this is yet another visual FX test done with no big budget, no fancy computers and equipment, just good old indie determination. Check this out! Tell me you cant wait to see what these guys do in their feature film? Can you say "X-Men 4" on a $100 budget? CHA-CHING! These guys are going far, and we will keep you up to date on their progress.
I encourage you to watch the trailer for BROKEN. As cool as this FX trailer exclusive is it really doesnt explain why we are so impressed with these indie film makers. Watch the Broken Trailer and then be seriously impressed. After watching the trailer be sure to discuss the movie with us at our Forum. ( Official Site )
