Chow Delays Kung Fu Hustle 2 for Space AdventurePosted by: Shawn Chinese director Stephen Chow, who has wrote, acted and directed several films that have brought him fame on both sides of the Pacific Ocean has officially announced that he's putting his Kung Fu Hustle sequel on hiatus. Instead he plans to work on a space adventure that will feature a large number of kids and quite possibly zero-g martial art style stunts. Fans of Chow will remember "Shaolin Soccer" and the original "Kung Fu Hustle" from a few years ago that gave new meaning to the exclamation "Wow!"."Kung Fu Hustle" is a gangster movie set in 1940s Shanghai, where the evil Axe Gang go to war with a slum apartment that just happen to have a few Kung Fu masters in residence. With laugh-out-loud comedy and jaw-dropping action sequences, it's no wonder Stephen Chow has been pressured to create a sequel to the film despite the fact that he himself doesn't like sequels. He wants to do the film, but right now he's putting the project aside for some fine-tuning and taking the time to try something a little different. The folks at Aint It Cool News have given a few opinions and theories to give some validity on Chow's choice and where he might have gotten his inspiration for the proposed space flick.
