The Omen Trailer Warns Of The EndPosted by: JerricaThe international "Omen" trailer is the stuff of Revelations.( International OMEN Movie Trailer ) It's chock full of Armageddon and horror of Biblical proportions. But, all the astonishing imagery of chaos and disaster comes from the world around us rather than movie studio computer magic. It plays upon the age-old fear of prophecies depicting the end of the world, and even worse, it does this by showing us what is already a reality we cannot escape. News footage of tsunamis, hurricanes, and war drive the point home because it's not fiction. Once they've got their fingers firmly on the pulse of divination like Nostradamus, they instill the fear of God, or rather of the antichrist in you. They pose the question, "Has the time of the antichrist come?" And, that's almost enough to make even the most casual Christian think, if only for a second. What if the mounting pandemonium was more than just random destruction in the world that seemed to be compounding itself? What if this is a sign that the worst is yet to come? And, in answer, the trailer presents you with a baby, Damien. "The Omen" remake will bring the horror classic to a new generation and from the brief glimpses we get of the actual film in the trailer, it will be in terrifying modern style. The shots of demonic figures and omnipresent suffering radiate an atmosphere of evil. The frantic and frightened parents get a few flashes of palpable tension in the preview. If you're not convinced of the psychological horror in store, the image of a woman with a noose around her neck, smiling as she jumps off a rooftop should haunt you enough to know this remake means serious business. Hopefully for FOX, the date 06/06/06 will mean big business.
