Jewel Staite Talks About Life and The Tribe

The very sexy Jewel Staite who has been involved in TV for quite some time but is best known for being Kaylee on the series "Firefly" and the movie "Serenity" recently posted some news in her online journal. There is information on her vaction to Maui, and a trip to L.A and something about a restaurant that now has a sushi dish named after her. Anyway... Coming up for her she has a few conventions to attend and has also signed on to star in a movie that will begin shooting in may.

"I've signed on to do a movie called The Tribe and how they're pitching it is Lost meets Predator. Kind of weird, I know, but the script is great, and I get to do lots of action sequences and fun stuff like getting chased by scary things in the jungle (won't tell you what scary things). It's probably going to be the most demanding thing I've ever done; I'm in literally every scene except a couple, which I haven't done yet, and there's a ton of stunts and running for my life...but I'm always up for an adventure, so it should be a lot of fun"

Kaylee also has a ton of conventions planned. On April 29th she will be at Armageddon in Wellington, New Zealand. May 6-7th she will be at The Hub in Sydney, Australia.
