Brett Ratner Honored at Malibu Film Festival

The 7th Malibu International Film Festival is proud to announce the director of the highly-anticipated feature film X Men: The Last Stand, Brett Ratner, as this year’s celebrity honoree. Mr. Ratner, director of Red Dragon with Anthony Hopkins and the Rush Hour films starring Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker, has quickly established himself as one of Hollywood’s most successful directors. Past festival directorial honorees include James Cameron, John Frankenheimer and Arthur Hiller.

The 7th Malibu International Film Festival is proud to announce Academy Award Winner Sir Anthony Hopkins as special guest presenter for its 2006 special tribute to Brett Ratner. Hopkins reprised his role as Dr. Hannibal Lechter for the film Red Dragon, directed by Ratner in 2002. Past festival presenters include Gary Sinise and James Cameron.
