New Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Movie UpdatesPosted by: Chris Cowa-bunga dudes! Well the rumour of a fourth installment of a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles has been circling around on the internet for the past few years. Well the rumours are over and the waiting can stop, because the first ever fully length CGI animated movie is on its way. Warner Bros. Pictures is releasing this feature and is handling all domestic distribution, while The Weinstein Company will handle the internatonal territories. Warner Bros. states that the fourth TMNT movie will be realeased on March 30th, 2007. Mirage Group, which owns and magages the popular kids franchise originally sold the production and distribution rights to Imagi Services, but after a while, sold the rights to Warners and The Weinstein Company. I'm a young guy and I am very familar with the turtles, seeing how I grow up with posters and all their toys and yes, I even rocked out they pijama's, I couldn't believe when I originally heard about the news. Within a few minutes, I was on the net, searching around for any information, but I found something even better. Like from a sign from God himself, I had stumbled across, the script. I began to read it, and didn't stop until I was finished, which believe me took forever, but thats what turtles fans are about. Hard dedication.
It has been a while since I read the script, and even though the script rocked, the news that this Turtle adventure is going to be computer animated, I had to stop and think about, could it be done right? Could this movie actually look good, I mean we have all seen the cartoons, but trying to capture a film, with the attitude that is trying to be portrayed in this up coming attraction, with CGI? I guess we are going to have to wait a year to see, if the turtles can rock out once more. Inside rumours have it that the gang is up against an even more powerful squad then the Foot. A gang that has far more skills in the martial arts.
I think the movie will have some tough critics to win over, but with good dialogue and the help of a exciting plot, I think we could be looking at another classic in the makings. And if the movie does well, you can definitely expect more CGI features to hit the big screens in the time to come. I personally can't wait for the new movie. If I could be any turtle, it would be Michaelangelo. He was the best! So grab a slice, and let the countdown begin.
