Mariah Carey to join Ocean's 13 cast?

The rumor is up in the air that Glitter star, Mariah Carey will be signed on to play a love interest in the third entry of the Steven Soderbergh caper series according to the Hollywood Reporter. Ellen Barkin is already attached and set to be Matt Damon's love interest in the film. Catherine Zeta-Jones and Julia Roberts will apparently not be returning, so perhaps Mariah Carey's involvement will give George Clooney or Brad Pitt someone else to chase after and ultimately win over midst elaborate scheme (and reportedly this scheme will once again take place in Las Vegas).

Producer Jerry Weintraub claims that Jones and Roberts’ absence is due to their characters not actually being needed in the script. I’m personally not buying that one. I’m banking they just opted not to join onboard. It seems highly unlikely that two high class stars would be dropped from the script to make way for Mariah Carey. I’ve seen Glitter. Hollywood can’t hate us that much.
