Eli Roth on Hostel 2

With a month away from the release of Eli Roth's unrated edition of "Hostel", Mr. Roth talks about the sequel to his brutal first film. In a interview with iFMagazine, he says,

"Saw 2 was a big inspiration, they stepped it up and it was a fun sequel. I decided I better do Hostel 2 right now, while itâ€™s fresh in my mind. Itâ€™s kind of got an expiration date on it. I had an idea for the sequel that I was really excited about, and Iâ€™m working on the script right now." Roth also notes that Hostel 2 will be no film for the weak of heart. "Unlike the first Hostel, this one is not going to be a family movie. This one will have some blood in it and be a little darker and more violent. I have always wanted to see a sequel where it picks up with the next shot after the first one left off. I think the sequel should start off tonally where the last one left off," notes Roth.

There is no word as of yet if Quentin Tarantino will be involved as he was in the first film which tells the story of two adventurous American college buddies Paxton and Josh who backpack through Europe eager to make quintessentially hazy travel memories with new friend Oli, an Icelander theyâ€™ve met along the way.
