Land of the Dead News Updates: Dennis Hopper starring?

According to a visitor of the Horrorfind Convention in Maryland, George Romero has said that Universal will be distributing the film and it should be arriving in theatres around fall of 2005 (keep in mind, this information in unconfirmed).  Also, 'The Horror Channel' has informed us that Dennis Hopper (Speed, Waterworld) will make his return to horror in Land of the Dead.

It will be interesting to see how they cast Hopper in the movie and what type of role he will fill.  It really marks the first time a big name actor has ever graced a Romero film.  Most, if not all, of his previous movies have involved essentially unknown actors.  That is not to say that they havn't delivered solid performances, but they rarely have ever been heard from again.
