Horrors of War Coming to DVD in Japan

Feature film 'Horrors of War' will be released on DVD July 7th in Japan. Japanese distributor New Select will
release the movie on home video. North American and other worldwide home video/television rights are currently in negotiation for this World War II science fiction action pic.

"The Japanese DVD release represents the first step in getting the movie out there and showing what we can do", says Peter John Ross, co-director/co-writer/producer of the film. "We made a fun B-movie with werewolves, super soldiers, and Nazi's."

The film follows the experiences of a Lieutenant in World War II just after D-Day. Hitler unleashes secret weapons on the Allies in the form of genetically enhanced soldiers and cross bread werewolves. It's Band of
Brothers meets the X-files. Trying to raise the bar with bigger production values, the ambitious period
film was achieved with several filmmakers banding together. Even the commercial production companies gave considerable discounts and helped the production achieve high end results to rival big budgeted Hollywood movies.

"I was amazed at the quality of the production, and I loved that it was shot on film, that meant the right people are involved and behind the project, not just some amateurs with a video camera. " says Tony Kandah, executive producer and sales agent for the film. "The authenticity of the uniforms the guns, the amount of bullets that were fired in the first scene alone is more than what a Hollywood production fire in an action film, I was hooked."

Horrors of War was shot entirely in Ohio, using all local talent and crew. Producer/Co-Writer Philip R. Garrett, a former Dreamworks employee who has worked on such films as Steven Spielberg's AI Artificial Intelligence and Minority Report, and also Dreamworks PDI's Shrek 2 & Madagascar, left a job working on a Disney animated feature to work on this film. Phil's goals are to see more quality productions both come to Ohio and be started here. World War II re-enactors came from several states away to participate in the filming. Re-enactors brought to the production authentic props, vehicles, uniforms, and weapons.  They also acted as extras in the larger battle scenes in the film, adding scope with realism.
