Christmas Cheer with Vince Vaughn

"Wedding Crashers" director, David Dobkin, and actor, Vince Vaughn, are hopefully re-teaming for a holiday comedy entitled Fred Claus.  Vaughn is in negotiations to play Fred Claus, Santa Claus's loser brother.  Much of the buzz around the world wide web concludes that this will be a mixture of "Elf" meets "Bad Santa" though nothing of a description for "Fred Claus" has been revealed.

 

 

It is being reported that Vaughn will recieve his highest payment of $20 million if he chooses to be in "Fred Claus."  You can read the rest of the article from Variety right here.  It will almost be likely that we will get to see his entourage in the film as well including fellow "Wedding Crasher" Owen Wilson, Will Ferrell (Elf), and possibley Ben Stiller (Dodgeball).

 

Vince Vaughn has notably made a transition from serious roles such as in "The Cell," "The Lost World:  Jurassic Park" and "Psycho" to more comedic roles as of late with "Be Cool," "Mr. and Mrs. Smith" and of course "Wedding Crashers."
