Che aka Guerilla Begins Filming in NYC?

A reader wrote in to let us know that scenes from GUERILLA have started shooting in NY. The writer witnessed filming of a scene from "Guerilla " Saturday 1/28/06 on 2nd Ave and 41st Street , NYC . Old cars parked on street .NYC police car from 50's . Scene had a rally of men chanting " Viva Cuba ".

The story explores the life of the late Cuban revolutionary learder. Born in 1928, Ernesto "Che" Guevara first trained as a doctor before becoming Fidel Castro's chief lieutenant. In 1967, he was captured and executed by Bolivian forces. Stay tuned for more updates!

Update: Martha wrote into us to say that its not Guerilla that is shooting but rather its Che. So stay tuned, scratch your head, and wait for updates! We will do a bit of digging.

Update 2: The movie is known with 2 titles. Some call it "Che" others call it "Guerilla". At the moment there is no official site online, and there also is no info on the production company's sites. As soon as we know the exact name of Steven Soderbergh's movie we will let you know. As for now we will go with "Che aka Guerilla".
