Collateral Cleans House in the Box Office

In its opening weekend, the film, in which Cruise plays a villainous hitman, grossed an estimated $24.4 million. I found the story to be well done and the action was well done with Tom Cruise doing a good job playing the villain. Luke aka Goon on the boards recently predicted 20million take, and I predicted a 30million take, so I guess we both were pretty damn close to being right.

M Night Shyamalan's The Village slipped to number two, but marked an incredible 10-day success by creeping past the $85 million mark.
