Sam Raimi Directing Wee Free Men

According to Variety Sam Raimi's next project will be an adaptation of Wee Free Men the fantasy novel.

Wee Free Men tells the story of a young farm girl who is sent into a parallel world to get her brother back who was kidnapped by an evil Fairy Queen. Now it should be interesting to see how this movie ends up panning out. She ends up battling the fairy queen and her evil minions with 6" tall kilt wearing scottish brogues. This movie sounds like gold!

Of course before he can do this project Sam Raimi must first complete "Spider-Man 3" which has just started shooting. Sam Raimi is best known in the mainstream world for his work on Spidey Boy but in fact his big claim to fame in the cult film world is for his work on Army of Darkness. If you dont own a copy go pick one up. It is a low budget action flick that is sure to please all. I should know I own every possible version of the movie on VHS and DVD.
