New Year, New Movie, Same Attitude: JA Steel to Co-Star in Vampire Movie, "Sacred Bloods." JA Steel has signed on with Darkwood Productions and Angry Baby Monkey Pictures to co-star in the action horror film "Sacred Bloods." The independent production of a vampire saga spans a period from Ancient Rome to the present. The story follows uneasy vampire allies in a quest to find two ancient artifacts with the power to turn dayinto night, ultimately giving vampires dominion over the Earth. The fast paced horror thriller laden with action will also star independent award winning actors Ford Austin, Peter Zhmutski and Oscar D. Ray. JA and Ford have previously worked together on "Cerebral Print: The Secret Files" where Steel played an Intergalactic Bounty Hunter chasing space aliens.

JA and Peter first met in Muskogee, Oklahoma at the Bare Bones Film Festival in 2004 where they delighted audiences with an impromptu martial arts demonstration. "I'm excited about working with Ford again and happy to get a chance to make a movie with Oscar and Peter. It's going to be fun", Steel commented from her home in Salt Lake City, Utah. "Sacred Bloods" promises to test Steel's action sensibilities with high adrenaline action. Steel, dubbed the female "Jackie Chan" for her willingness to perform her own dangerous stunts, promises some of her signature moves.

Steel's latest project, "Dive the Deep Blue" finished post production in Los Angeles in December. The documentary style television series follows J.A. through her adventures in the realm of technical scuba diving - beyond the recreational depth limits of 130 feet and into the overhead environment of fresh water caves and the crushing depths of the ocean. Steel is a PADI Divemaster, an IANTD Full Cave Diver, and TDI certified in Decompression Procedures. Filming of "Sacred Bloods" scheduled to begin shooting in Oklahoma, Texas and Arkansas beginning April 24, 2006 will take place during a break in filming of the show.

President and CEO of Warrior Entertainment, Steel was the first female independent film maker to receive the prestigious Indie Auteur award from the internationally acclaimed Bare Bones Independent Film Festivals for her action feature "The Third Society". Steel's previous awards for "The Third Society" from various United States based festivals include: Best Action Soundtrack from the Park City Film Music Festival, Best Non-Native American Feature Film from the Cherokee Film Festival, Best Soundtrack from the Bare Bones International Film Festival 2004, Best directing for Music Videos ("Doesn't Matter Anyway", "Beautiful Day") from the Script 2 Screen Festival and a nomination for Best Action Sequences from the B-Movie Awards.
