Jack Black not playing Green Lantern?

It appears that Jack Black will not be Green Lantern. I know thats a big relief to all of us as I can't see Jack Black playing any superhero. Jack Black is funny and everything but he just doesn't belong in Green Lantern. Here is what he had to say to Entertainment Weekly:

"I took a meeting with someone who has the rights, but there's no [Green Lantern] script," Black told EW. "I'd be interested if there was a really good writer attached, but it's far from a [done deal]."

Sounds like there is a slight possibility that he could still get the role but I doubt that will happen.
