American Pie Band Camp Sells 1 Million DVD's

I really enjoyed this movie... despite its low budget and obvious limited "talent". So it is no surprise to me that this movie has EXPLODED off DVD shelves. American Pie Presents Band Camp, the latest DVD from Universal Studios Home Entertainment (USHE) and Rogue Pictures, lit up retail cash registers during the post-holiday frame. The fourth installment of Universal's outrageously raunchy blockbuster comedy franchise has sold more than one million combined DVD and VHS units since its December 26, 2005 street date.

The film's commanding debut follows the success of USHE and Rogue's first DVD OriginalTM release, Carlito's Way Rise to Power.  American Pie Presents Band Camp engaged a similarly innovative and aggressive marketing plan, including a high profile three-week ad campaign and theatrical trailers, to raise consumer awareness and interest in the DVD-only sequel.
