Shepard joins Zathura Cast

Dax Shepard has signed on to Columbia Pictures' Zathura which will be helmed by Jon Favreau. Shepard will play an astronaut and will be the only adult in the film besides Tim Robbins. He will be joining Jonah Bobo and Josh Hutcherson who will play two young brothers. Tim Robbins will portray the boys' father.

The adaptation of Chris Van Allsburg's children's book follows two young brothers who are drawn into an intergalactic adventure when their house is magically hurtled through space. The movie will film this summer in Los Angeles and is slated for release next year.
