Tamara coming to cinemas Friday January 13th

Director Jeremy Haft just let us know that his horror film "Tamara" will be released to theaters across the U.S. on Friday, January 13th. Also City Lights Pictures told our colleagues from Fango, why the company decided to bring the movie to cinemas.

A CL source told them that "The film had been scheduled for DVD release by Lions Gate Home Entertainment on January 31, 2006, but due to the tremendous Internet buzz the film has been generating, the DVD debut has been pushed to spring 2006 to allow for national theatrical play of the film, which City Lights Pictures Releasing is very excited to be spearheading."

Jenna Dewan stars as sexy "Tamara", an unpopular high-school girl who is accidentally killed during a prank, and returns from the grave as a supernaturally endowed vixen to manipulate and murder her former tormentors.

Tamara hates her life. Her classmates think she's a freak, and the object of her infatuation, her English teacher, will never return her love. In a state of desperation, Tamara invokes an ancient spell that promises to give her incredible beauty, the ability to make anyone fall in love with her, and the power to get rid of anyone who stands in her way. For the spell to work, however, Tamara's blood must be used as the sacrifice.
