Vincent Guastini's FX Company has a Busy Year

Vincent Guastini is mad talented in the FX field but more importantly hes just a cool level headed guy who we all enjoy dealing with. He enjoys talking to fans, loves sharing his time and as pointed out has a serious talent for FX. 2006 is going to be a very busy year for him as he showcases his work in a half dozen movies this year.

Vincent Guastini Productions Effects & Design Studio is a full service effects studio that creates, designs and constructs animatronic creatures and humans – as well as prosthetic make-up characters for feature films and television. Vincent Guastini Productions wanted to announce that it has 5 projects in different stages of production and development on that it is doing effects for.

One Being "Flags of Our Father" produced by Steven Spielberg and directed by Clint Eastwood V.G.P. is recreating 2 very famous death scenes taken from the aactual filmed archives.

One creating some silcone burn masks that have the experession of terror being burned alive.The Warner Bros movie will be released sometime in late 2006.

Second being "Dungeon Siege" for Microsoft and Brightlight Pictures. The 65 Million Dollar film stars Ron Pearlman, Ray Liotta, John Rhys-Davies, & Leelee Sobieski among others. Vincent is responsible for designing and supervising 100 creature suits for this production.

Thirdly make-up effects duties on the anthology movie "Snoop Dogg's Hood Of Horror" the anthology is a very ambitious project that has all kinds of creatures, zombies and all kinds of wild make-up effects. The film stars Ernie Hudson, Jason Alexander, & Danny Trejo, and of course Snoop Dogg himself.  The one sheet picture only reflects one day of shooting the effects.

Fourth film on the slate is Dark Horse Film's "Driftwood" produced by The Mask & Hellboy's producer Mike Richardson. Vincent had to design very orignal and diffrent type of Ghost for this Horror thiller. It included in making a new type of outer denture for the actor to wear with the prosthetic to give the effect of the actor having a large gap in his mouth.

The Last being "Soul's Midnight" starring Armand Assante and produced by The Godfather & Apocalypse Now producer Grey Frederickson. V.G.P.'s Company effects request was a channlanging one the construction of Demon suit known in the film as the Dragon Demon with a 12 ft wing span complete with a tail and a crown of horns.

V.G.P. Effects & Design Studio film and television projects include: Jay and Silent Bob Strikes Back, the angel wings and creature effects for Dogma, additional prosthetics & effects for Virus.  Other projects include: Stephen King’s Thinner, Man on the Moon, Super Mario Bros, Childs Play 3, Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey, Realistic and the graphic makeup effects for Michael Mann’s epic remake of The Last of the Mohicans.

V.G.P. was responsible for the weight loss transformation of Academy Award Nominee Ellen Burstyn in the acclaimed motion picture Requiem for a Dream, which also garnered Vincent a as a a hopeful for Academy Bake-off for that year.

V.G.P. has handled creature design and concept work for projects such as: Green Hornet, Hannibal, Creature from the Black Lagoon, Doom The Movie, Preacher, Lost In Space: The Return and Bryan Singer’s versionof Battlestar Galactica: The Return.

V.G.P. has created makeup effects for many episodic television series and mini series.  Those credits include: Stephen King’s The Langoliers for ABC, Law & Order, Late Night With Conan O’Brien, Third Watch for NBC, Dr. Phil , Murder In Small Town X for Fox and Saturday Night Live – which garnered Vincent an Emmy Nomination for Best Makeup.
